One day when I was shopping at my local wholesale store, there was a person demonstrating the new Vitamix 5200 blender. This thing was amazing. Within moments the person made soup, smoothies, juice and peanut butter. What was incredible was he could make either hot food or cold food, and the motor would turn slow or fast or anywhere in between, depending on what was he was making.
He used the Vitamix 5200 Blender to make a complete meal using no other appliance, and gave out samples of all of his food. It didn’t take long to realize this was an easy way to make very healthy food in a very short amount of time. While I was standing there he even showed how he could take a handful of grains and put it in the blender to instantly make his own flour.
My husband and I were stunned at what we saw, and decided to go ahead and purchase one of the Vitamix 5200 Blenders. I thought maybe once we got it home it would be more difficult to use. But it actually is very easy to understand and use. I was pleasantly surprised that my unit did exactly what said it could.
We have made some many different things with our new Vitamix 5200 Blender. I know there are other blenders on the market that come with all kinds the attachments, but this one needed nothing else but the blender itself. It easily makes soup, can crush ice and juice whatever it is I want to drink.
It comes with its own stainless steel Hammermill and “dry” and “wet” cutting blades. Because I can turn the speed down so low, it’s easy to make juices without ripping the fruit or vegetables apart. This allows the juice to retain more of its minerals, vitamins and enzymes. But then when I want to make soup I can put hard beans in there and it will instantly grind them up, by simply turning the speed of the motor higher.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoy our new Vitamix 5200 blender. Though it was a bit pricey, it’s an appliance we use all the time to make wonderful foods. One of the nice added features of being able to make a complete meal just inside the blender, is that it only one container to be cleaned when the meal is over.
If you’re in the market for a really well made blunder that has the capability of making everything from soup, juices, nut butters and flour, the Vitamix 5200 Blender would be a wonderful addition in your kitchen.

“I have to give it a 5 star review. I love gadgets, at least I love buying them… But this one I actually love using. I am trying to make green smoothies for health reason. They don’t taste delicious, but boy are they fun to make. This cleans up very easily too, at least if you clean it right away. It crushes ice very well too. I grated Parmesan with it this evening. It was fast and easy, with easy clean-up, but I prefer my hand grater. I like the texture better. I was trying to choose between this and a Blendtec, but the Blendtec doesn’t seem to last as long. So I am smitten, and very glad that I splurged. I bought the stainless steel finish, because I figured for 50 dollars extra, it was worth having the good aesthetic (I am that picky). I have juicers, an ice cream maker, two rice cookers, etc, and this is truly the only gadget I really love using.”
